Eden Valley starts out on the front foot, having the enviable reputation of producing some of the nation’s best cool climate wine. For over 100 years now, this region has offered up some of Australia’s finest Shiraz and Riesling. 

We bought our vineyard here in 2011 and but its planting began in the early ‘80s with Riesling and Traminer. The next step on were plantings of Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz and Merlot over the next two decades.

Langhorne Creek

Langhorne Creek

Temple Bruer's original vineyard, hailing from 1973. It all began with 8 hectares of vines dedicated to Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz, Merlot and Malbec. In the ‘80s and early ‘90s, we added to this sterling mix with Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. The Langhorne Creek patch was originally built around a Geneva Double Curtain trellis, which, although it has a great reputation for producing high-quality fruit, is a problem when it comes to mechanising.

We acquired more land 1993, and decided it was time to work differently. We built our new vineyard instead around a Smart-Dyson trellis....
