Eden Valley starts out on the front foot, having the enviable reputation of producing some of the nation’s best cool climate wine. For over 100 years now, this region has offered up some of Australia’s finest Shiraz and Riesling.
We bought our vineyard here in 2011 and but its planting began in the early ‘80s with Riesling and Traminer. The next step on were plantings of Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz and Merlot over the next two decades.
Eden Valley comprises 26 hectares with the stars of its show being Pinot Noir, Riesling and Shiraz, with more modest offerings of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Traminer. We are even cultivating a small block of top-worked Pinot Noir to create the often unsung hero Pinot Meunier, one of the three main varietals used to create Champagne.
Eden Valley is currently A-grade Certified Organic with NASAA.
