Rosé

Crisp and dry with texture. Hints of spice; white and pink pepper.

Bold and bursting with crunchy red fruit. Strawberries and cream, raspberry, sour cherry, Turkish delight, watermelon.

Thai Green Curry or Red duck Thai curry

The shiraz, mataro, and grenache were harvested between the 1st and 6th of March at an average sugar content of 12.5 Baume, and had a pH of 3.45. We pick our grapes for Rosé early morning to retain cool temperatures, leading to the retention of fruit flavours.

The grapes were destemmed, pressed, and cold-settled before a cool fermentation for 2.5 weeks. The wine underwent malolactic fermentation and was then bottled in November 2023. No sulfur dioxide was used in any process when making this wine.

We saw the third La Nina event in 2023, resulting in the wettest and coolest vintage since 2011, as well as perhaps one of the more challenging vintages we have seen. Although 2023 had its challenges, we consistently saw beautiful flavours and some of the best complexity, elegance and restraint thanks to the cool conditions and low yields.
